Well, everyone else has been adding updates, so it's time I did too.
We are doing well. Ella finally rolled over from back to stomach yesterday!!! I was actually out running errands the first few times she did it. Micah got to see it, though. He was so excited. So, now she can roll from back to stomach and stomach to back. She is really grabbing things too. She loves to touch and grab faces, especially lips. Anytime I pick her up, she gets a firm grip on my hair and doesn't let go. She's a strong little girl!
She's discovering her voice more too. She has developed a new high screeching sound that sounds kind of like a bird. It's pretty cute. Oh, she's almost 6 months old and is still a petite little thing. But, not to worry, mom tells me I was a "puny" baby too :) Life is good. We are blessed. We are trying to enjoy our last few weeks together before Micah leaves. It will definitely be hard with him gone, but we will make it. Plus, I get to have a fun new roomie! Can't wait for you to come, Carrie!

Ella fell asleep after her dedication. She unfortunately liked holding Micah's phone.

So, like everyone else, I've not written in a while. It's not that my life is so crazy. Mostly, it's just because I don't think about it. So, here is what's going on with us:
Ella is starting to roll over. She continues to be the joy of our lives. It's so fun watching her grow and learn new things. Something I've really come to be passionate about (as my family can tell you) is living green. Now, I'm not doing this because it's the latest fad, but I'm doing it because I'm genuinely concerned for our environment. I think you all would agree with me that we've made a mess of this earth that God has given to us. So, I'm doing everything I can do help the planet, and I implore you to do the same. For instance, did you know that our household cleaners, personal care products, and even makeup are filled with chemicals that damage the environment, pollute our water, and even possibly cause birth defects in animals and humans? Everything we wash down the drain ends up in our lakes and streams. So, I encourage you to go organic in everything you possibly can. It is a little more expensive, but just start with a few things and it can make a big difference. Of course, we all know that we should recycle. Use reusable bags when shopping, walk, bike or use mass transit when possible. Also, I recently switched to a power company that uses wind and solar energy. It makes a huge difference in the environment. So, there is my soapbox. I hope some of you are inspired and challenged.

What's going on in our lives:

Ella is three months old now and growing like crazy. She is smiling and I think laughing. She is such a darling girl.
We spent last week in Houston hanging out with the Pattillos. It was a little crazy having four children in the house. Props to my mom for raising four kids. You are amazing, Ma!!!
We are moving to a new apartment this week and are very excited. It is a three bedroom apartment and has a lot more room for our growing family. We continue to lead worship occasionally at church and hang out with friends. We are blessed.
I downloaded two vidoes for you to see of Ella. Just go to the videos section.

Well, life here is good. Ella is growing like a weed. We had her two month appointment on Tuesday. She's up to 10.5 pounds, which is average, but they said she's a little short, which is no surprise considering neither of us are very tall. She is lots of fun, though. Last weekend we got to go down to Houston to see our newest niece, Gabriella. Mom came to and it was fun to have two babies in the house. Well, fun most of the time. Anyway, life is good. We are blessed.

So, I've been a slacker with xanga lately. With Ella's arrival and then Christmas, I just haven't gotten around to posting much. But, here goes. Ella is wonderful. I love being a mommy. It's definitely an adjustment, but a joy as well. It's been chilly here in Killeen, which is of course, fun for me. I found a new, bigger apartment for us! We will move into it in March. We just need more space. So, once again, we will be packing up and moving to a new apartment. At least we are in the same city :) I've gotten to be an expert at moving. The nice thing is that we will be in this next apartment for at least two years, I think. So, I will get to settle a bit. I'm going to paint the apartment, so that will be fun. It's a brand new apartment and is in a great location. It's about 10 minutes closer to church (we drive 30 min. to church now) so that is awesome. Plus, it's about 4 minutes from where they are building a Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and BARNES AND NOBLE!! We are so excited. Barnes is one of our favorites places to go for Date Night. We just love to get a coffee and look at books and magazines. So, we are pretty psyched about that. The sad thing is that they won't be done building till around July, and that is when Micah deploys. So, he will have to wait a while to enjoy it. But, I will still be there often. I hope that Ella will have a love for books like we do :) So, we are blessed and enjoying life. Here are some 5 weeks old pictures of Ella.
